County Council commended

County Approves Tax Incentive

To Boeing For Project Voyager

County Executive Dr. Sam Page commends the County Council for supporting his request for public support for Boeing Co.’s $2 billion “Project Voyager” aerospace initiative

The Council approved $155 million in tax incentives designed to allow Boeing to compete for U.S. Department of Defense contracts.

“The Council’s action proves St. Louis County’s commitment to growing our economy, expanding career opportunities, and building on our priorities to invest in North County,” Dr. Page said. “Landing this deal will bolster the County’s brand as a national leader in the defense industry.”

Boeing’s plan is centered around construction of a million-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in North County that will be dedicated to the development and production of aerospace technology and hardware. The project will also engender 500 high-paying jobs, raising Boeing’s total regional payroll count to almost 17,000.
