Fritz’s holding food drive by offering sundae discount

Fritz’s Frozen Custard is sponsoring an Eats for Treats food drive promotion designed to help contribute to food pantries that surround participating stores. From now until seasonal closing Dec. 14, customers who bring in a can or box of food to Fritz’s stores located in Florissant, 1055 St. Catherine St., St. Peters, 506 Jungermann Rd., and O’Fallon, 2453 Hwy. K, will receive about a 25 percent discount on either a single topping junior sundae ($1.49 instead of $1.99) or single topping mini-concrete dessert ($1.75 instead of $2.29).

In addition to offering the dessert discounts to customers, Fritz’s will also donate one quart of frozen custard for each 50 food items collected. All food will be handed over to Kirk Food Bank in St. Charles who distributes to food pantries surrounding the three Fritz’s locations participating in the food drive.
“With so many people in need at this time, we wanted to try to do something that could help give back to the community,” said Debbie Fritz, co-owner of Fritz’s along with husband Terry. “Our employees are very excited about the drive and are hopeful that our customers will join in on the effort to add to our neighborhood food pantries,” Fritz added.
This year, Fritz’s Frozen Custard celebrated its 25th anniversary serving the St. Louis metro area having opened its original store in Florissant in 1983.
