MOONLIGHT RAMBLE back this Friday night

MOONLIGHT RAMBLE Returns to

Gateway Arch  on Friday, Aug. 26

Organizers of the Moonlight Ramble® bike ride are excited to announce the official routes of this Saturday’s Moonlight Ramble. This is the 59th edition of the ride, which takes place on the streets of St. Louis under the light of the full moon. The Moonlight Ramble® is the longest running nighttime bike ride in the US and a great source of pride for St. Louis. This year’s Moonlight Ramble will have more than 3,000 riders of all ages from across the region.

Once again starting and finishing in The Grove, this year’s route heads east to Downtown St. Louis to circumnavigate the iconic Gateway Arch before riding down Broadway, through the Soulard Neighborhood, circling the Anheuser-Busch brewery before returning through Downtown. The route visits some of St. Louis’ oldest and newest icons along the way including: The Foundry, St. Louis University, CITYPARK (home of St. Louis CITY SC), Union Station, City Hall, Soldier’s Memorial, the Old Courthouse, Laclede’s Landing, the Gateway Arch and the Anheuser Busch Brewery.

“Since we began operating the Moonlight Ramble in 2019, there is one landmark we continually are asked to bring the route to: The Gateway Arch” said Matt Helbig, Co-Director of the Moonlight Ramble. “We’re very excited to announce that after many years, this year’s route will be returning to the Arch. The excitement for the Ramble is off the charts at this point. We have riders joining us from 13 states, as young as 2 and as old at 82 coming out to enjoy the traffic-free streets of the City.”

The Moonlight Ramble has again name Trailnet as this year’s charity partner. “Trailnet is proud to be a part of this year’s Moonlight Ramble,” said Cindy Mense, Trailnet CEO. “There’s nothing like exploring this city on two wheels, especially under the light of the full moon, and the organizers have done a great job putting together a safe and beautiful route. This is an event every St. Louisan should experience.”

A portion of each registration from this year’s event as well as 100% of all donations collected will go to Trailnet to help them advance their mission to foster healthy, active and vibrant communities where walking, biking and the use of public transit are a way of life.
