Hazelwood’s Fall Food Truck Night Oct. 4

Charles Glenn,who sings the National Anthem at St. Louis Blues home games, will be the headline entertainer at Hazelwood’s Fall Food Truck Night on Tuesday, October 4th, at Howdershell Park, 6810 Howdershell Road. Food can be purchased from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with entertainment starting at 6 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public. Residents and guests will be able to enjoy the best of St. Louis food truck cuisine while listening to the high spirited performance of The Charles Glenn Group. There will be seven food trucks serving a variety of menu options parked side-by-side in a semi-circle in the park. Some of the participating food trucks include Sarah’s Cakes, Locos Tacos, Andrew’s Bayou Ribs, Russo’s, St. Louisiana Q, Bombay Food Junkies, and 2 Girls 4 Wheels.

Charles Glenn is an entertainer who draws upon his vast wealth of knowledge and training to create unforgettable musical experiences for his audiences. The son of an accomplished opera singer, Charles received early training in voice and percussion. He has utilized both his strong vocal and percussion talents as the opening act for several top tier musicians such as Smokey Robinson, Huey Lewis and the News, and the Allman Brothers. Charles has also performed and worked with Andre Crouch and Stellar Award winner Calvin Bridges, and was selected to perform a series of limited engagements with Grammy Award-winning group, “The Fifth Dimension.”

The Charles Glenn Group has a widely diverse repetoire of popular songs to satisfy everyone’s musical tastes. They perform everything from jazz to gospel, Broadway to classic Rock, and R&B to the Top 40 hits.

Those who attend Hazelwood’s Fall Food Truck Night are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for T.E.A.M. Food Pantry, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Based in Florissant and supported by the St. Louis Food Bank, T.E.A.M. helps provide supplemental food and basic household items to needy families in Hazelwood and Florissant. Cash donations will be accepted as well.
