Darla Behlmann of O’Fallon, Mo (center in photo) has been crowned Ms. Missouri Senior America 2024. A resident of O’Fallon, MO, Ms. Behlmann competed with eight other contestants to earn the title. For her talent, the new Ms. Missouri Senior performed Nat King Cole’s “L-O-V-E.” Ms. Behlmann will represent Missouri at the Ms. Senior America Pageant in September in Atlantic City, NJ. and will serve as a spokesperson for the active Missouri senior woman.
Kansas City, MO resident Roxanne Dickens was named first runner-up, and Barbara Keathley, who lives in Manchester, MO earned the title of second runner-up. Miss Congeniality, a selection made by the contestants, went to Diana Sikora of Florissant, MO.
Contestants were evaluated by a judging panel on a pre-pageant interview (30%), their talent (30%), poise in a gown (20%), and the recitation of their individual philosophy of life (20%). Christy Wilson-Smith, 2023 Ms. Missouri Senior crowned the new queen.
The event was held on Sunday, April 27 at the Florissant Performing Arts Center. In addition to the actual pageant, there were performances by past winners and dancers and an appearance by Texas resident, Dr. Terre Quinn, 2023/24 Ms. Senior America. The Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant is presented annually by the Missouri Senior Cameo Club, a nonprofit organization for women 60+ years old which fosters their talent development, charitable giving, community service and personal growth.
