Historic Florissant to host Annual Benefit Dinner March 22

The Gittemeier House after major restoration will get a new renovated 1st floor parlor from  funds raised at the annual Historic Florissant benefit Dinner March 22.

Historic Florissant is accepting reservations to their annual Benefit Dinner on Sunday, March 22,at Hendel’s Restaurant. Hendel’s is located in Old Town Florissant at 599 St. Denis Street. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m..

Proceeds from this year’s fund raiser will be used for the restoration of the first floor parlor at HFI’s Franz Gittemeier House, 1067 Dunn Road. The newly renovated room will be used to display the recently acquired collection of Hume and Kehrman family items donated by Mr. Richard Burkett. This wonderful collection was donated to Historic Florissant to assure the items a permanent home in Florissant, where the family lived for over 60 years in the Brand House on St. Louis St. at St. Pierre St. in Old Town.

Reservations for the Benefit Dinner are $40 per person with a cash bar. Tables for 4, 6 or 8 can be reserved, if desired. RSVP by Thursday, March 19. Checks should be made to Historic Florissant, Inc. and mailed by to 1067 Dunn Road, Florissant, MO 63031.
