St. Louis County is now getting a larger share of the vaccines since Gov. Mike Parsons announced that the Kansas City and St. Louis areas will have more vaccine events that will offset the amount rural areas of the state had been getting. In the meanwhile, many from the metro area have been driving two hours or more to get vaccinated in towns in outstate Missouri.
Most residents of long-term care facilities in St. Louis County already received vaccines from their pharmacy provider program.
