VFW Post 4105 Cancels Sept. 11 Event

THE 19^TH ANNIVERSARY 9-11 CEREMONY HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR THIS YEAR

Mayor Lowery announced, after being informed by the organizers with VFW Post 4105, the decision has been made to cancel the 9-11 Ceremony which was scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11.

This was a very difficult decision to make, however, as the current COVID-19 pandemic situation continues and with the rise in cases in the area, the decision was made to cancel the event for this year to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone.

The current pandemic situation remains fluid. The organizers with VFW Post 4105 made this decision because keeping everyone safe and healthy is the ultimate priority.

There will be a remembrance video of past 9-11 ceremonies with Mayor Lowery doing a brief introduction that will be posted on Facebook on Friday, Sept. 11, stay tuned.
