2020 GNC Chamber’s Business Person of the Year

The Greater North County Chamber celebrated its 65th Anniversary on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Norwood Hills Country Club. The Chamber announced the 2020 Zykan Family Legacy Award winner and the prestigious 2020 Business Person of the Year award.

MIKE MOEHLENKAMP OF GARY’S AUTO in Florissant was awarded the 2020 BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR. The Chamber has annually given the award to an individual(s) that embody the best qualities of community leadership through the combination of business, civic and community activities.   “I was honored to be nominated and to be named the recipient on the Business Person of the Year completely blew me away. I couldn’t be more grateful for this honor and for the many valued relationships I have developed through my participation in the Chamber,” Moehlenkamp stated.

Moehlenkamp is an entrepreneur and business leader. He is active in the community as a volunteer, neighborhood advocate and champion of North County. Moehlenkamp purchased Gary’s Auto Service in January 2007 and has more than doubled the size of the business by offering professional, trust-worthy automotive repair to his loyal and expanding customer base.

Gary’s Auto Service was recently awarded the 2019 Green Star Service Facility Award from the MidwestAuto Care Alliance. Moehlenkamp’s track record for building Gary’s Auto Services comes on the foundation of years in management of automotive service fleet operations. He currently resides in North County with his wife Lisa where they have raised 3 boys.
