Now that it’s March, that means only one thing to basketball fans, actually two. The first, Spring is here but most importantly it’s March Madness time. A time of the year that everyone who even thinks they know the slightest bit about basketball jumps into the bracket game.

Whether it is at your work, school, or just with a bunch of friends, filling out the annual bracket is so much fun. Some people take it really serious but most take it for fun. A chance to escape from reality and root for that team that really has no chance at all. Those Cinderella stories are the ones that make this whole

bracket filling out time so much fun.

I know just enough to fill out s halfway educated bracket but the year that I won the bracket about 15 years ago was when I picked Syracuse because I liked the color of their uniforms. Sometimes of should I say most of the time it all comes down to luck. As the stage grows bigger and the teams grow smaller in the tournament, the pressure builds and the chatter in the office grows stronger on who will win. With all of the teams selected now, it is time to fill those brackets out. If you haven’t done one before, give it a try. It’s fun. It is also very frustrating do be ready for that.

Good to Have Carp and Molina Healthy

As far as baseball, opening day is not far off and the nice thing is that as off right now both Yadi Molina and Matt Carpenter are healthy. On the other side of the coin, the question will be for how long. With a number of our superstars per say getting older in age, the daily grind of baseball becomes harder and harder for these gentlemen to stay in game shape and game healthy.

If you looked at a halfway healthy Molina—that is better than most players in the league at full health. For some reason this year, to me it doesn’t seem like there is as much hype around this Cardinals heading into opening day. Maybe that is good, go into the season with not much expectation and then prove everybody wrong. In my book that is The recipe for success. I love being the underdog. It all starts off in a few weeks and then it is in full swing all the way until September and then we all look forward to sitting in the stands for some October baseball.

Blues Big Turn Around

Let’s not forget about hockey after a late season run by the St. Louis Blues, they have put themselves in a position to head into the playoff run just like I talked about with the Cardinals—lay low and over exceed your expectations. If the Blues are able to sneak into the playoffs and do well, it will be one of the biggest turnarounds their history considering that at the halfway point when things were not looking so good.

I hope they do well, as the fans of St. Louis Blues hockey are some of the most faithful fans in the country, alongside St. Louis baseball Cardinal fans. When you really stop and think about St. Louis sports and put them in perspective, we all are lucky to live in such a great sports town. Except for the fact that we do not have an NFL but hopefully soon will have a major league soccer team, we sit in a great place as a fan.
