Host District Cross Country

   PREP NOTES–Spanish Lake Park, once again, will host Classes Two and Three Cross Country Meets Saturday, Oct. 27, with Lutheran High School North serving as district host.

Girls will run the first two races, with Class .Three, District Three starting at 10 a.m., followed by Class Two, District Two at 10:35 a.m. Boys Follow with Class Three, District Three running at 11:10 a.m. followed by Class Two, District Two at 11:45 a.m.

In Class Three, District Three 14 schools will compete including Cardinal Ritter, Priory and Rosati-Kain. In Class Two, District Two 14 schools will compete including Lutheran North and North Tech

Meanwhile, Incarnate word Academy and McCluer South-Berkeley will compete in Class Three, District Four Saturday at McNair Park, St. Charles with St. Dominic serving as host. After the Class One, District Two races (Girls at 10 a.m., Boys at 10:35 a.m.) Class Three, District Four Girls run at 11:10 a.m. followed by the Boys at 11:45 a.m.

   CLASS FOUR SECTIONAL TWO — Four Boys and Two Girls run Saturday at Cole County Park, Jefferson City and a top 30 finish will send them to State at Oak Hills Golf Center, Nov. 3. Hazelwood West senior Yuto Wada (Fourth in District Three-17:08.26) and sophomore Edwin Wangui (15th-18:14.16), Hazelwood Central senior Malik Stovall (12th-18:08.39) and McCluer North sophomore Donovan Williams (30th-18:39.31) will run in boys at 10 a.m. Two junior girls — Marisa Long, Hazelwood Central (20th-22:25.17) and Jenna Foelsing, Hazelwood West (21st-22:27.4) — will run at 10:30 a.m.

BOYS SOCCER — Districts for Classes Four and Three is Saturday through Nov. 3, Sectionals, at even-numbered district winners are Nov. 6, Quarterfinals are Nov. 10 and the State Tournament is Nov. 16-17 at Word-Wide Technology Soccer Park, Fenton.

   CLASS FOUR — Chaminade hosts District Seven as the top seed and open Saturday, 1 p.m. against fourth-seeded McCluer North, followed at 3 p.m. when third-seeded Hazelwood Central plays second-seeded Ritenour and the winners meet Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, Hazelwood West is the four seed in District Two at top-seeded DeSmet Jesuit playing Oct 30 at 4:30 before three seed Pattonville and two-seed Francis Howell North. Meet at 6:30 and the winners play Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.

CLASS THREE — On Oct. 29 in District Five at Gay Field, tines to be determined top-seeded and host Clayton plays fourth-seeded Hazelwood East while second-seeded Mary Institute and Country Day School plays third-seeded Ladue Horton Watkins. Winners play Oct. 31. Meanwhile, McCluer is the fourth seed in District Six and plays at 5p.m. Oct. 30 at top-seeded Parkway Central followed at 7 p.m. width second-seeded Parkway North playing third-seeded St. Charles High and them winners play Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.

   NORTH COUNTY CHRISTIAN closes Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball seasons at the Missouri Christian State Athletic Association Tournaments, Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 25-27 in Joplin.
