Lutheran North Loses Quarterfinal

Lutheran North’s State Football Hopes came to and end last Monday night losing 32-21 in the Class Three Quarterfinals at Owensville.
The loss ends Lutheran North’s season at 9-2 while Owensville takes their 7-5 record to 9-3 Ste Genevieve, Saturday at 1:30.

Lutheran North managed to overcome an 18-7 halftime deficit with a pair of touchdowns, a 50-yard run by Previn Perry and a 17-yard run by Dan Baker, in a 28-second period to take a 21-18 lead. But Owensville countered with two touchdowns to regain the lead and the Crusaders were unable to respond.

On Nov. 8 Lutheran North scored a 28-19 Sectional win at Moberly as Baker, Perry, LaRico Martin and Tyler Shaw each scored a touchdown. On Nov. 4 Lutheran North completed a three-game sweep of District Five with a 35-6 home win over Trinity Catholic as Martin passed for two touchdowns, returned a kickoff for another TD and added a two-point conversion run.
