Florissant Mayor Thomas Schneider and several City Hall employees attended the annual Christmas lunch held each year at the historic Taille de Noyer house. After the lunch everyone was welcome to tour the restored, early 19th century home. The costume room on the third floor boasts one of the finest collections in the area. The lower level has been re-opened and contains many “treasures” from early Florissant. It is believed that it is one of the oldest remaining homes in St. Louis County.

Taille de Noyer house also serves as home to the Florissant Valley Historical Society. Proceeds from the luncheon help with the maintenance and preservation of this historic home. The two-century- old Taille de Noyer is situated at its second location on the McCluer High School campus.

For anyone interested in becoming a member to help preserve and maintain this community treasure, an annual membership is only $15 and a life membership is only $150. For more information, please call the Florissant Valley Historical Society at 314-524-1100.
