Hazelwood Early Childhood Program Taking Applications

The Hazelwood School District is now accepting applications for its Early Childhood Education Program for the 2009-2010 school year.

The Early Education Program is designed for children of all educational needs. In the fall, it will offer three-day and four-day programs. Hazelwood Early Childhood implements a curriculum which is aligned with Missouri pre-kindergarten standards and curriculum requirements. Additionally, our program is aligned with K-12 District program such as a focus on assessments, a high level of parent involvement and positive behavior interventions and supports.

The annual fee is $600 for three half-days and $800 for four half-days. This includes a $100 non-refundable registration fee. The remainder of the payments may be made quarterly.

Children are admitted to the program through a lottery system. The lottery form must be completed and returned by May 29, 2009. To enroll, children must be 3 years old by July 31, 2009, reside in the Hazelwood School District and have a DIAL screening.

If interested, please call (314) 953-7650 to schedule a screening and to obtain a lottery application.
