The 43rd season of the Applause/Applause Series has a remarkable five-show line-up! The season spans the funny to the dramatic, the musical to the comical, and is full of all-around quality entertainment. Sunday, Jan. 28 – 3 p.m “I Love A Piano” – A nostalgic musical journey spanning seven decades of American history as seen through the eyes of Irving Berlin – a man whom Jerome Kern described by saying, “Irving Berlin has no place in American music…He is American Music!”

Sunday, Feb. 11 – 3 p.m “My Funny Valentine” – Are you looking for the perfect Valentine’s date night? Join comedians Pat Hazell, one of the original writers for NBC’s Seinfeld and a veteran of The Tonight Show, and Dena Blizzard, featured comic at the Laugh Factory and Gotham Comedy Club and creator of the viral video “Chardonnay, Go!” as they come together for an evening of heartwarming stand-up comedy.

Saturday, March 3 – 7:30 p.m. “I’ve Got A Little Twist” – The Mikado meets The Music

Man, where the HMS Pinafore sets sail for Brigadoon, where The Pirates of Penzance takes shore leave On the Town. It’s a one-of-a-kind show that proves the Gilbert and Sullivan repertoire is fun, fresh, and full-of-life! Life is a cabaret and so is this show – and as we all know – It’s always more interesting with a little twist.

Sunday, April 15 – 3 p.m. “The Baby Boomer Comedy Show” – The Baby Boomer Comedy Show is a hilarious theatre event with clean humor on topics that the “boomer generation” can relate to – family, kids, work, do-it-yourself projects, dieting, aging and more. Fellow baby boomers and veteran comedians Jan McInnis and Kent Rader have joined their talents in this show that’s packed full of funny along with many “ah ha” moments.

Sunday, April 29 – 1:30 p.m. “Othello” – “O, beware, my lord, of jealousy; It is the green-eyed monster, which doth mock the meat it feeds on.” This classic tale of identity, bigotry and deceit is examined with contemporary clarity, combining Shakespeare’s language with modern clothing to transform the drama into a powerful story for America today.
