City of Hazelwood’s Spring Brush Collection Program Begins March 20

Its time for Hazelwood residents to prepare for city’s Spring Brush Collection Program. Crews will begin collecting tree limbs and shrubbery trimmings the week of March 20.

The street pick-up schedule can be found in the current Hazelwood Parks & Recreations Activity Guide, pages 25-27, and online under www.hazelwoodmo.org/whats-new.

Residents should stack their trimmings at the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday morning of their designated street pick-up week.

City crews will collect brush on each street “one time only” as scheduled, so residents must follow the pick up schedule and rules.

Do not put any wire, metal, trash, garden waste or other debris in the brush. Crews chipping the brush could suffer serious injury.

Branches and stumps must be less than 6” in diameter, cut into short pieces, and placed with cut ends facing the street.

Trimmings done by a contractor should be hauled away by the contractor and not left at the curb for city crews to pick up.

For any questions regarding the Spring Brush Collection Program, contact the Street Maintenance Division Monday — Friday, 7am to 3pm, at (314) 731-8701.
