New Year’s Eve Celebration

Florissant Seniors will celebrate New Year’s Eve at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 31
at the James J. Eagan Center. The party will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. Music by the Bob Row Trio. Dancing from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m.

Cost is $12.50 and all tables are reserved. The price includes dinner, dancing, drinks, snacks, non-alcoholic champagne, attendance prizes and Pot O’ Gold. Must have a current Florissant resident picture ID to purchase tickets. Call the senior office at 839-7604. For FLERT bus reservations, call 839-1776.

Metro Ride Registration Dec. 16

Metro Ride is having a registration for Seniors who want to get a Senior Reduced Fare Card at the JFK Center at Koch Park on Tuesday, Dec 16 from 1-3 p.m. The card is necessary if the seniors want to receive a discount when riding the bus or Metrolink.

Seniors will have their picture taken and receive their card on site. There is no charge for the card, however seniors need to bring some form of government issued picture identification that verifies age. Drivers License, State ID Card, Alien Registration Card of Passports are acceptable.

Dances at the Savoy in Ferguson

Senior dances are held each Tuesday at the Savoy in Downtown Ferguson from 7-9:45 p.m.Music is by the “Starlighters.” For more information, call Mary, 521-2688 or Nonie, 521-7986.

Ongoing Activities

Adult Club of Florissant will meet at 11 a.m. at the James Eagan Center, lower level second Tuesday of the month Must be a Florissant resident with ID card. Membership fee for club is $10 annually. Call Norman Loebs at 921-0037.

Monday-Wednesday Bingo Club meets weekly, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at the James J. Eagan Center.

Florissant Seniors Line Dancing Club meets every Wednesday at the James J. Eagan Center, 12:30-2 p.m. Must be a Florissant resident and have a Golden Age Pass. Registration is not necessary. Couples, groups, and individuals are welcome.

Florissant Seniors Bridge Club meets every Friday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., in the Arts and Crafts room at the James J. Eagan Center. A resident ID is required. Bring a sandwich. Coffee will be provided.

Pinochle Club meets every Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m., at the JFK Center at Koch Park, 315 Howdershell Rd. A current Resident Picture I.D. is required. For more information call the Senior Office.

North County Computer Club meets the first and third Friday at 1 p.m. at Prairie Commons Library, 915 Utz Lane in Hazelwood. The club is for seniors desiring to share computer secrets with others. Call 837-6102 or visit www.corcc-stl.com.
