Boys Golf District Meets May 2-4

There are 32 Boys Golf District Tournaments to be held during May 2-4, 16 Sectional Tournaments on May 9 and the State Golf Championships will be on May 16-17 at four different golf courses.

Rain Dates are May 5 for Districts and May 10 for Sectionals.

Most of the area High School Boys Golf Teams — Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West and McCluer North — will be competing in Class Four, District Two May 4, 8 a.m. at Bogey Hills Country Club, St. Charles. Chaminade College Prep will serve as tournament hosts and the course is Par 71, 6,471 yards. Also competing at Bogey Hills are Kirkwood, Ladue-Horton Watkins, Ritenour, St. Louis University High and Webster Groves.

The top two teams from Class Four, District Two will advance to Sectional One May 9, 9 a.m. at Algonquin Golf Club, Glendale, to Compete against District One. Webster Groves will serve as Sectional Host on the Par 71, 6,076-yard course. Also advancing to Sectional One are the top 15 individuals from non-Sectional qualifying teams but any team regardless of district finish that qualify four or five golfers to Sectional qualify the team(s) in sectionals.

The top two Sectional teams will advance to Class Four State, May 16-17, 8 a.m each day, at Silo Ridge Golf Club, Bolivar. In addition the top 12 indivduals from non-State qualifing teams will also go to Silo Ridge. And any teams, regardless of sectional finish that qualify four or five golfers will also qualify their team(s) for State.

Meanwhile, Trinity Catholic will be teeing off in Class Two, District Two May, 2, 8:30 a.m. at The Quarry at Crystal Springs Golf Club, Maryland Heights, a Par-71, 6,807-yard course. Trinity will compete against tourney host Whitfield as well as Festus-St. Pius X, Herculaneum, Hillsboro-Grandview, John F. Kennedy, Lutheran St. Charles County, Orchard Farm, Principia, Valley Park and Winfield.

The top two teams from Class Two, District Two will advance to Sectional One May 9, 9 a.m. at The Falls Golf Club Course, O’Fallon, and compete against District One. Lutheran St. Charles County is the Sectional host and the course is Par-71, 6,807 yards. Also advancing to Sectional One are the top 15 individuals from non-Sectional qualifying teams but any team regardless of district finish that qualify four or five golfers to Sectional qualify the team(s) in sectionals.

The top two sectional teams will advance to Class Two State, May 16-17, 8 a.m. each day at Sedalia Country Club. In addition the top 12 individuals from non-State qualifying teams willl also go to Sedalia. And any teams, regardless of sectional finish that qualify four or five golfers will also qualify their team(s) for State.
