Seniors Ring in 2016 at Annual Party at the FCC

   The annual Senior Citizen New Year’s Eve Party at the James J. Eagan Center was once again the best party of the year for Florissant.

Senior Citizens, with their hats and tiaras, raised their glasses of champagne and said good bye to 2015 and welcomed the new year.

Florissant Senior Citizens and Mayor Thomas P. Schneider shared a poetic reflection on Auld Lang Syne (Scottish for Old Long Since). Florissant Council Representatives Tim Lee, Gerard Henke, Jackie Pagano, Joe Eagan, Tim Jones and Jeff Caputa tended bar on New Year’s Eve with a noon celebration time.

Outstanding attendance prizes were donated by Florissant businesses and city council members. Dinner was prepared by Tornatore’s Catering entertainment was provided by the 18-piece St. Charles Big Band.

Senior Coordinator Peggy Hogan, the Florissant Senior Office Staff – Carol Henke, Carol Loftus, and Mary Anne Branca – and the Florissant Senior Commission,   all hosted what is now the Senior Citizen event of the year.

Mayor Schneider thanked all the businesses and organizations who sponsored the event and donated prizes.
