Florissant Police Offering Neighborhood Watch Training

The Florissant Police Department Crime Prevention Unit will begin offering monthly Neighborhood Watch training for interested Florissant citizens. The first meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 17 beginning at 6:30 and should normally conclude no later than 8 p.m. The training session will be held at the Florissant Police Department.

Training will include: information on the history of the Neighborhood Watch program; an explanation of ways to reduce your risk of being a victim of a crime; how to report crimes in progress and suspicious activity; reporting suspect and vehicle descriptions; how to conduct a home security check; and other related topics.

Seating will be limited, contact Sgt. Kevin Boschert at 314-830-6042 to secure a spot.

Additional training sessions will be held every third Monday of the month at the Florissant Police Department beginning at 6:30 p.m.
