Mann’s Meats’ Charitable Work Gets Noticed

By ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’

The VFW Post 4105, City of Florissant, and Mann Meats held a watch party this morning, July 23, from 9-11 a.m. at the Post to celebrate Bob and Holly Mannecke’s appearance on
“Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Coffee and donuts were provided. Mann Meats had a free food event during the Fanfare concert on July 17. Donations were accepted and were

designated to help continue the renovation of the historic Wiese House located on the grounds where the St. Ferdinand Park concerts are held each summer.
Mann Meats owners Bob Mannecke and his wife, Holly, prepared and distributed their famous pulled pork and hamburgers for the concert patrons who donated for the Wiese House work.
The civic minded couple’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed locally (Facebook) but also grew national attention from “Live With Kelly and Ryan.” The show’s producer asked them to prepare a popular item for the show and what could be more St. Louis than barbecue pork steak?
Mannecke gave the “meal prepping” producer a recipe for Mann’s rub and he figured the pork steak would be something to talk about on the show. They were invited to fly to New York with all their air and expenses paid by the show.
As many in Florissant know, Mann Meats often prepares meals at no charge for first line workers and first responders and others for the past year or more.
The “Live With Kelly and Ryan” show was recorded on Wednesday (July 21) and aired this morning, Friday, July 23 on Channel 2 (Fox) with the Florissant couple on the set.
