‘Dystance4Dystonia Zoo Walk’ at St. Louis Zoo

Spending a day at the zoo can help find a cure for dystonia, The Dystance4Dystonia Zoo Walk takes place Sunday, Aug. 30, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and benefits Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.

Dystonia is a neurological disorder similar to Parkinson’s disease that affects hundreds of St. Louis-area residents, leaving them with curled muscles and involuntary muscle movements. The walk is sponsored by Digital Partners Incorporated, the Quail Club in Belleville and Allergan and Merz.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children under age 11. Attendees receive a St. Louis Zoo Walk T-shirt, zoo admission, and a St. Louis Zoo Safari Pass, which provides free rides on the Zoo Train, access to the Petting Zoo, and more.
