Rick Steigerwald Wins Run-off Election to Retain His Seat

In a special runoff election for the Black Jack City Council. incumbent Rick Steigerwald retained his council seat with a 117-43 majority over challenger Veronica Patton in the Aug.5^th special election.

Back in April, Steigerwald and Patton each received 143 votes in the city wide election in which Mayor Norm McCourt had won another term. Voter turnout in summer elections are always lower, and in this case, it was the only item on the ballot in Black Jack.
