District Wrestling At Francis Howell, Westminster Christian Academy

Three of the area high school wrestling teams will be competing Feb. 13-14 at Francis Howell High School in district competition while two more will be competing at Westminster Chrisitian Academy.
According to the Missouri State High School Activities Association districts should start no earlier than 5 p.m. and no later than 6 p.m. on Feb. 13. On Feb. 14 the resumpion of districts should start no earlier than 10 a.m. and must end by 9 p.m. The top four wrestlers in each of the 14 weight classes in all four classes will advance to the State Championships Feb. 19-21 at Mizzou Arena, University of Misouri, Columbia.
The three of the area’s largest high schools — Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood West and McCluer North — will compete in Class Four, District Two at Francis Howell. They will compete against three Francis Howell School District high schools — Central, North and host Howell High — two Wentzville District high schools, Holt and Timberland, two from Columbia, Mo., Battle and Hickman, Fort Zumwalt West, Marquette (Rockwood District), Pattonville, Ritenour and Troy-Buchanan.
Two other area high schools, Hazelwood East and McCluer North, along with Riverview Gardens, will compete in Class Three, District Two at Westminster Christian Academy. They will compete against three Fort Zumwalt District high schools — East, North and South — Parkway School District high schools — Central, North and West — Chaminade, Hannibal, Ladue Horton Watkins, St. Charles High and Warrenton
CLASS TWO, DISTRICT TWO — McCluer South-Berkeley, the third Ferguson-Florissant District High School, will be in Mexco Missouri and will compete against a third Wentzville District High School (Liberty), a second City of St. Charles High School (West), O’Fallon Christian, Fulton, John Burroughs, Kirksville, Mary Institute Country Day School, Moberly, Normandy Collaborative, St. Louis Priory, Soldan International Studies, University City and Winfield.
CLASS ONE, DISTRICT ONE — Lutheran North, who has added Wrestling (and Girls Swimming) to their athletic program — will compete in Wrestling at Whitfield School in West St. Louis County. LHSN and Whiifield will compete against Lutheran St. Charles County, Brentwood, Cleveland Naval Junior ROTC, Hancock Place, Herculaneum, Lift for Life Academy Charter, Maplewood-Richmond Heights, Missouri School for the Blind, New Madrid County Central, Northwest Academy of Law, Orchard Farm, The Principia and Valle Catholic (Ste. Genevieve).
