The I Love Ferguson committee presented a check for $5,000 to Rebecca Zoll, CEO of North County, Inc. Regional Development Association, last Thursday. The money will go the Reinvest North County Fund for businesses and schools impacted by the events in August.

The check presentation brings I Love Ferguson’s total contribution to Reinvest North County to $15,000 in just under three months of fundraising.

Committee chairman and former mayor Brian Fletcher says that in addition to raising money for local businesses affected by the unrest, the committee is kicking off more initiatives to address the needs of the Ferguson community.

I Love Ferguson is sponsoring a children’s clothing drive through Dec. 8 and will work with local agencies to distribute donations to need families in Ferguson during the holiday season.
