Florissant, St. Louis County, O’Fallon Seek Public Comments on Fair Housing

St. Louis County, the City of Florissant, and the City of O’Fallon are soliciting comments on their draft Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). The Analysis of Impediments (AI) is a review of barriers that affect the rights of fair housing choice and is required by HUD as a condition of receipt of funds under the CDBG Program.

A draft of the Analysis of Impediments will be available for public examination and comment from Aug. 1, to Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 5 p m . Copies may be downloaded from www.stlouisfairhousing.com or may be viewed at the following locations:

St. Louis County: St. Louis County Department of Planning, Community Development, 41 S. Central Avenue, 5th Floor Clayton, MO 63105

Florissant: Department of Housing and Community Development, 1055 rue St. Francois Florissant.

After the close of the Public Comment Period on Sept. 2, St. Louis County, the City of Florissant, and the City of O’Fallon will move forward with formal approval of the document and submission to HUD.

Three public hearings will be held on:

Monday, Aug. 18, 2014 – at 6 p.m. at St. Louis County Department of Planning, Community Development located at 41 S. Central Avenue, 5th floor Conference Room, Clayton.

Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 3 p.m O’Fallon City Hall, City at 100 Main Street in O’Fallon.

Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. City of Florissant, Government Building Council Chambers, 955 rue St. Francois.

During this hearing, St. Louis County, the City of Florissant, the City of O’Fallon, and its consultants will present information on the draft Analysis of Impediments and receive comments from the public regarding the draft.
