Mike Gantner to receive Old Jamestown Association 2014 Citizen of the Year Award

Mike Gantner has been selected as the seventeenth annual Old Jamestown Association Outstanding Citizen.   The award is made each year to a citizen who has contributed to the quality of life in north St. Louis County.

Mike has served the North County area in important capacities for many years.   He has been Chief of the Black Jack Fire Protection District for the past twelve years and will complete forty years with the District later this year.   He is Chairman of the North County Incorporated Board of Directors for 2014 and serves on the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.

The Old Jamestown Association is a residents’ association, which was incorporated in 1942.  It researches and shares with residents and others the area’s history, unique geological features, and events.  It also facilitates communications between residents and the St. Louis County government and neighboring communities.

The Citizen of the Year Award will be presented at the bi-annual Membership Meeting of the Old Jamestown Association on Thursday, May 1, 2014, 7:30 p.m., at the Black Jack Fire Protection District Administration Center, 5675 North Highway 67.  The public is invited.
