Anyone interested in filing as candidates for election to the Hazelwood City Council may obtain nominating petitions from City Clerk Colleen Wolf at Hazelwood City Hall, 415 Elm Grove Lane. Positions to be filled for full three-year terms at the election on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, are for the Council seats representing Wards 2, 4, 6, and 8.

The current representative for Ward 2 is Robert Aubuchon, for Ward 4 is Mike J. Conley, for Ward 6 is Warren H. Taylor, and for Ward 8 is Mary G. M. Singleton.

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and a registered voter. They must also have lived in the City for at least two years immediately prior to the election and reside in the Ward for which the office is sought.

Filing for the election opens on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 8 a.m., and closes on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m.

Nominating petitions for Ward Council members shall be signed by no less than 25 and no more than 50 registered voters eligible to vote for the candidate.  These petitions must then be filed with the City Clerk by January 21, 2014.
