The social and business event of the year for several years has been the Greater North County Chamber’s Nite of Stars, held annually at the Paul Detrick Atrium at Christian Hospital.  The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the annual  winner of the Business Person of the Year.

This year is was two people, actually a couple, Lora and Pat Click of Click Heating & Cooling, who brought home the honor for the year.  The winners kept the title once again for Old Town Florissant, which has provided several winners in the past decade or more.  Both the Clicks  are active members of the chamber and Old Town Partners and Pat is active in the Rotary Club and Lora in the Soroptimist organization. They have hosted the popular Chili Cookoff at the Old Town Fall Festival for the past 16 years.

This is the first for a couple to win the prestigious award. The Clicks will be honored at a chamber dinner in the Spring. Lora Click told several fellow chamber members at the gala event last Friday that she can’t believe they are the Business Persons of the year. But everyone else there would disagree.  Her friends and fellow chamber members one-by-one came by the Clicks table to congratulate them.  As Mayor Tom Schneider put it…It’s about time!
