The Bob Kuban Brass Returns to Florissant
Mayor Thomas P. Schneider announced that the World Famous Bob Kuban Brass will again be rocking on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. at St. Ferdinand Park by the Lake. The Music Under the Stars Summer Concerts are a Series of Free Outdoor Concerts that are sponsored by the City of Florissant and the Florissant Fine Arts Council.
Almost everyone knows that the Bob Kuban Brass performances include music from the era of the Big Bands, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s through the contemporary songs of today.
Bob Kuban has been a well-known fixture in the City of Florissant, the St. Louis Metro area, the state of Missouri, the USA and all over the world. Born in St. Louis, with strong ties to Florissant, Bob graduated from Washington University and St. Louis Institute of Music before hitting it big with Bob Kuban and The In-Men in 1966, and their top ten hit “The Cheater”.
In 1996, Bob Kuban became a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was presented a gold record for over one million records sold of The Cheater.
