Peart Wins 2 Titles, Flo Valley Track Has 5 All-Americans, 4 School Records

Florisssant Valley Community College Freshman Teneshia Peart returned from the NJCAA Championships (held at Eastern Illinois University) with national titles in the 60m, and 200m dashes. She won the 60 with a time of 7.41, and the 200 in 24.35, both school records.

Peart was also the anchor on the women’s 4×4 (school record) that placed 3rd; just missing first place by a second. The other relay members were Tanieka Evans (So.), Kristin McCoy (Fr.), and Bionca Gildon (Fr.). Gildon also placed 5th in the 400m, and 7th in the 200. Ashley Zanders was a 3rd place finisher in the triple jump with a jump of 38’. Brittney Monroe (Fr.), placed 8th and broke the school record in the long jump with at jump of 18’2″.
