St. Louis Outlet Mall Amends Parental Escort Policy

St. Louis Outlet Mall (formerly St. Louis Mills) will amend the mall’s Parental Escort Policy to begin at 3 pm instead of 6 pm on weekend nights, bringing the policy in line with those of other St. Louis area malls.

“The Parental Escort Policy has been a great success since we introduced it in 2006, so much so that our customers, tenants and community members have urged us to extend the hours and build on that success,” said St. Louis Outlet Mall’s general manager, David Reed.

Since that time, several other St. Louis area malls followed suit and implemented similar policies, some with a 3 pm start time.

“We ask that families shop together if visiting the mall between 3 pm and closing on Friday and Saturday nights,” Reed continued.  “We want to be pro-active in keeping our mall a family-oriented, quality shopping environment.”

The new policy hours will begin Jan.  25.  From 3 pm to closing on Friday and Saturday nights, children 16 years of age and younger who are visiting the mall must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is 21 years of age or older.  Customers should be prepared to show valid photo identification such as a driver’s license, state I.D. card or military I.D.

St. Louis Outlet Mall is a local and regional shopping and entertainment destination featuring Old Navy Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Banana Republic Outlet, Gap Outlet, Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Missouri’s only Cabela’s, to name a few.  This 1.2 million square foot venue offers a complete family shopping experience with The Children’s Place Outlet, Gymboree Outlet, Justice Outlet, and Crazy 8.  On the entertainment side, St. Louis Outlet Mall boasts the region’s largest skate park, Plan Nine; the region’s only NASCAR Speedpark; the St. Louis Ice Zone, the official practice facility of the St. Louis Blues; as well as great restaurants such as Tony Roma’s, Johnny Rockets, and Chevy’s Fresh Mex.

The Outlet Mall will also welcome a Ross Dress for Less in early 2013.  St. Louis Outlet Mall opened in 2003.
