Florissant’s six-year-old Marysa Louise Reed became a National Finalist last month when she won two prestigious titles in the “Miss Missouri” State Pageant, hosted by National American Miss (NAM) in Columbia. Miss Reed was also crowned as State Ambassador. Both honors secured her dual invitations to the National All-American Miss National Competition, to be held in Anaheim, California November 17 through 23.

Emphasis is placed on developing “Today’s Girl” and “Tomorrow’s Leaders,” and the importance of developing self-confidence and learning good sportsmanship through interviewing skills, public speaking, poise, and stage presentation. All activities and competitions are kept age-appropriate for girls ages 4-18. Girls under the age of 12 are not allowed to wear make-up, and there are no swimsuit competitions.

Reed attends 1st grade at Commons Lane Elementary.
