Veronica Hilyard was crowned Ms. Missouri Senior America on July 8 at the Florissant Civic Center. The theme of the pageant was Meet Me in St. Louis. Fourteen  beautiful, talented and spirited ladies came together from all parts of the area to compete for this coveted title.

1st runner-up from Florissant was Sylvia Swaysland

2nd runner-up from Robertsville was Judy Davis

Ms Congeniality was Jerrie Ewbanks from Ballwin

The other contestants included: Suzanne Brodden, Linda Franchini, Jerry Hutter,Shirley Kunkle,Christine Newport,Barbara Rosenfeld, Barbara Schroer.Joan Schlichter and Suzan Slater.

The Senior Pageant celebrates women over the age of 60 – “The Age of Elegance”. These women exemplify dignity, poise, maturity and inner beauty.

Veronica Hilyard will participate in the Ms Senior America Pageant in the fall in Atlantic City.
