LA Rams Starting to Bring about Change-of-Heart for St. Louisans?

Another week has come and gone and the Los Angeles Rams, formally the St. Louis Rams, just continue to win with a record now of 7-0. Now I think this team is peaking a lot of interest in fans and in non-fans around the NFL. Three and four wins without a loss is something, but when you get to seven, now you have to start looking at this team as a true contender. Even if they lose, the chances are good that they will make it to the playoffs no matter what.

The thing that confuses me the most is watching this Rams team and still seeing them in the same colors and stripes that they wore when they were here in St. Louis. I guess if you look further back they wore those jerseys the first time.

I wonder if they will change their uniforms and logo when they move into their new stadium next year.

This place is supposed to be a palace and if they don’t win the place will be half empty like the Dome was here in St. Louis. Like I said last week, I think a lot of people here are starting to kind of root for this team a little bit. I even find myself rooting for the team to maybe go on unbeaten. The Rams team is young and has a lot of good wide receivers and running backs and are starting to play pretty decently on defense, but they give up a lot of points also. I would not be surprised to see this team in the Super Bowl this year. It’s almost been 20 years since they were in their last Super Bowl.

World Series will be Fight to Finish

I talked about it last week, the chances of Boston and Los Angeles making it into the baseball World Series and they have made it. What a ratings bonanza for big market television. This series has a lot of big-name players in it and

I really think it will go seven games.

What will be interesting though are the games bouncing back-and-forth between cold weather and warm weather and how this will affect the players in the game itself. If I had to go out on a limb right now and pick a winner as the series gets started, I would have to give the nod to the Dodgers, just because of the slight advantage in the pitching department. Either way this will be an awesome series, the World Series is unmatchable, except for the World Cup.

And finally today, it is getting close to the holiday season which means it’s time to stuff ourselves with food and drink and that means packing on those extra pounds. With the weather getting colder it’s much easier to just grab a blanket and snuggle up on the couch than hit the treadmill or go out for a walk or run.

I was reading an article yesterday that was saying that it is worse for you not to exercise than to drink and smoke. I am not sure how much I believe it but I know the last two are bad for you and that you need to get out and do some kind of exercise whether it is moderate or extreme. Just a little bit of movement; your blood moving to your body can totally change your mood and your energy for the day.

I know coaching my kids’ soccer teams keeps me busy and keeps me moving but I still don’t think I can get enough exercise. Let’s together make it a goal for the remainder of this year and next year to take advantage of our good health and get back in shape.
