Team Central Gymnastics’ Megan Stevens Selected as Missouri Coach of the Year

Team Central Gymnastic Academy’s team coach Megan Stevens has been selected as the Missouri Coach of the Year. Megan was selected as Missouri Compulsory Coach of the Year by judges, coaches and members of the Missouri USA Gymnastics Governing Body. She was presented with a plaque at the Annual Missouri USA Gymnastics Professional Members meeting this Spring in St. Louis.

Zina Fudge-Missouri State Administrative Committee Chair of Missouri USA Gymnastics stated, “Megan Stevens was nominated for compulsory coach of the year along with 4 other coaches.  Many of her peers in the Missouri USA Gymnastics coaching realm voted her the 2011-2012 Compulsory Coach of the Year.  She demonstrates such compassion when coaching all her gymnasts.  She is dedicated to teaching precise and well-executed routines. ”

Team Central Parent, Kimberly Martin stated, “Megan is a kind and loving coach that knows how to motivate the younger kids and inspire them to be great gymnasts.”

Megan was a gymnast for 10 years. She coached Gymnastics Team and USTA Tumbling Team at Stevens School of Gymnastics & Dance in Jacksonville, IL from 1994-1999. Megan and her husband Tom moved to St. Louis in 1999, where they were both offered team coach positions at Team Central Gymnastic Academy in Maryland Heights.

Megan has coached numerous levels 4-10 State Floor Champions. Team Central Gymnastic Academy is proud to have produced 278 State Champions, 36 Regional Champions, 16 National Qualifiers, and 14 gymnasts have received college gymnastic scholarships.
