The 2012 Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant will be held at the Florissant Civic Center Theater on Sunday, July 8, at 2 p.m. There will be 14 contestants from all over the greater St. Louis area (three from North County) as well as Fulton, Robertsville, and Jefferson City.
All contestants must be at least 60 years of age (no upper age limit), and be able to present a 2 minute and 30 second talent presentation. Some of our ladies will sing, dance, play an instrument, or present a talent of various kinds. The pageant has been held at this theater since 2002.
The contestants will compete in four categories–talent, model an evening gown, present their philosophy of life, and a personal interview with the judges before the pageant begins. A reception for all the contestants will follow in the theatre lobby auditorium at no additional charge.
The pageant is presented by the Missouri Cameo Club–consisting exclusively of former contestants. These ladies love presenting this pageant every year as well as performing in variety shows around the greater St. Louis area using their pageant talent. All contestants are invited to participate to help raise money for the next year’s pageant and local charities.
If you are a friend, relative, or a senior lady who might be interested in seeing the pageant so you can become a contestant in the future, tickets will go on sale at the theatre box office on Friday, May 25. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 or at the door on the afternoon of the pageant, tickets will be $17. Groups of 12 or more can be purchased for $12 each.
