The sixth annual MaxPreps Tour of Champions for Boys Basketball will visit McCluer North to present the school with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy.
McCluer North finished ranked No. 19 in the MaxPreps Freeman rankings and is one of only ten schools being honored on the sixth annual boys basketball tour.
The presentation will be made at an assembly in the school gym on Thursday, May 10. Chris Magnuson, MaxPreps territorial manager, and SFC Reggie Hunt, Missouri Army National Guard, will present the award to Athletic Director Bruce Smith and Basketball Coach Randy Reed.
McCluer North High School beat Nixa 69-60 in the Missouri Class 5 state championship game to win their second-straight state title. McCluer North finished the 2011-12 season 28-1 and is one of just ten high schools nationwide being honored on the sixth annual boys basketball MaxPreps Tour of Champions presented by the Army National Guard. MaxPreps ranks more than 20,000 varsity high school boys basketball teams.
