NCCU and SLCC-FV Set Forum Sept. 22 On Policing, Education and Financing

NCCU  and St. Louis Communities College are partnering to present a Forum  “Communities in Action” on the Campus of Florissant Valley Community College on Sept. 22,  from 9  a.m. to 12. in the Multipurpose Room in the Student Center.

Three major areas within our community —policing, education and financial services— will be addressing issues that are very important to North County.   Laurna Godwin, co-owner of Vector Communications and a former 15 year veteran T. V. new anchor in St. Louis.

Policing: Participates will include County Police Chief Tim Fitch, Florissant Police Chief William Karabas and Hazelwood Police Chief Carl Wolf,  and Wesley Bell, associate professor and Program Coordinator Criminal Justice, Florissant Valley Community College

Education: Supt. Steve Price, Hazelwood School District: Supt. Art McCoy, Ferguson-Florissant School District;  Stanton Lawrence, Normandy School District and former  state senator Rita Days, St. Louis County Election Director

Financial Services:  James Watson, president, Midwest Bank Centre; Alex Fennoy, senior vice president, Midwest Bank Centre; and Jeffrey Forrest, instructor and department chair Business Administration, Florissant Valley Community College
