Fontbonne OPTIONS Consolidates 3 North County Sites Into One Facility

Fontbonne University OPTIONS students at the university’s three North County sites are attending classes in a new, consolidated facility at #1D, Paddock Hills Plaza Center, in Florissant.

The establishment of the newer, larger space was prompted by tremendous growth of the program in North County, over 450 percent, according to Fontbonne’s Jerry Bladdick, Associate Vice President for Graduate and Adult Enrollment. The facility is over 10,000 square feet and includes 8 contemporary, state-of-the-art classrooms, with ample administrative space.

“It’s just been phenomenal,” says Bladdick. “We started with two classrooms at the James J. Eagan Center and quickly expanded beyond that into a second, and then a third site. With that kind of growth, we knew it was time to make the move in order to serve our students better.”

Since the first group started in North County in October 2003, the OPTIONS program has started over 20 groups of undergraduate students, just under 340 students. The first MBA starts at the new site later this month.

To date, the first five BBA groups have completed the program with 51 percent of the students having earned their degrees and another 30 percent close to degree completion.

With its main campus located in Clayton, the university has also established OPTIONS classroom sites in South County, Chesterfield and downtown St. Louis. Most OPTIONS courses are five to eight weeks in length and undergraduate and graduate degree programs have been sequenced to be completed in about two years or less.
