Season Ends For Florissant Post 444 Junior, Freshman Legion Teams

Florissant American Legion Post 444 Junior and Freshmen teams close out the 2010 season and both finished under .500 overall and in District 10

Post 444 Junior Legion was 2-4 in District 10, 5-9 overall while the Post 444 Freshmen, in their inaugural season 4-7 in District 10 and 5-13 overall.

Florissant Juniors won District 10 games over Ballwin and Creve Coeur, non conference games over Thoman-boothe, and St. Charles and won the opening round of the District 10 Tournament over Oakville.

Florissant Freshmen opened the season with a 1-2 mark in a St. Charles Tournament, losing to St. Charles and the Central Spartans while defeating the North Knights.  Post 444 Freshmen won twice over Maryland Heights and Manchester.

Eureka won the District 10 Junior and Freshman titles.

Among the Florissant Juniors Seth Close was batting .467, Joe Shell was slugging .684 and Sam Switzer had a .545 on base percentage. Among the Florissant Freshman Cody Qualls was batting .432, was slugging .591, and had an on-base percentage of .519.
