Splish Splash Summer Bash; Dive-in Movie in Florissant
The annual Splish Splash Summer Bash for Florissant youth, grades 5-8 is always a big hit on Friday, July 8 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Participants will enjoy pizza, soda, games and lots more. Admission will be by ticket only. Tickets may be purchased at JFK Community Center and the James J. Eagan Center.
Residents may purchasetwo tickets with each resident card for the resident price of $3.00 a ticket. This will be held at the Koch Park Aquatics Center, Friday July 8, 6:30-9 pm. Residents may purchase tickets starting 6June 15 and non-residents may purchase tickets on June 30. Res $3 Non-Res $5 Only 200 tickets available so buy ticket early
Dive-In Movie will be held at the Bangert Pool July 22 from 8-10 p.m., showing “Despicable Me” at this fun-filled event for the entire family. A limited number of inner tubes will be provided on a first-come, Use your pool membership card or pay daily admission to participate.
Family Fishing Tournament At St. Ferdinand Park July 9
The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Florissant Youth Advisory Commission, is sponsoring its annual Family Fishing Tournament on Saturday, July 9 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Ferdinand Park.
A current 2010/2011 Florissant Resident Card is required to register. Awards and consolation prizes will be given in various categories throughout the event. The tournament is open to all ages, however, individuals 16-65 years of age are required by state law to have a Missouri State Fishing License.
Registration is in progress at the James J. Eagan Center or JFK Center.
