HSD Board President Elected To MSBA Board of Directors

Mark Behlmann, president of the Hazelwood School District Board of Education, has been elected to a seat on the Missouri School Boards’ Association’s Board of Directors. Behlmann will serve as the Region 7 Governmental Relations Chair for MSBA.

The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a private, not-for-profit organization based in Columbia. Its mission is to help school boards succeed.

Behlmann is currently serving his fourth term on the HSD Board of Education. He was first elected to the board in 1997. Behlmann, a journeyman carpenter by trade since graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas in 1976, has lived in the Florissant area his entire life. He opened his own custom home building business in 1988.

Behlmann has earned several awards, including the Outstanding Young Men of America 1996, Outstanding Citizens Award 1996, Home-A-Rama Builder 1988, Chamber Business Person of the Year 1997 and the Old Jamestown Association Citizen of the Year 2002.
