Hope Tony Doesn’t Put Albert at 3rd Again; NFL Lockout Getting Old

How about the new look Cardinals defense on Monday night, Albert Pujols played 3rd base. Yes it is something different but in my eyes, how stupid of a move is this. We all know that Albert has played there before (2002) and is probably well capable of doing so but we also know that he has an injured arm and that the throw from third to 1st is very long.

Why would you even start to jeopardize a player that is your franchise player for a short term gain like what was going on on Monday? These are the decisions that drive me and a lot of others crazy.

Yes, Albert is a gamer and wants to do whatever he can to get the team a win, but what if he hurts himself even more from this and it affects his batting also. This is another situation just like many others in life where we only think about  the immediate satisfaction and not the long term affects,Just ask Arnold Schwartzineger; he can tell you all about this.

Getting Fed Up with NFL Lockout

Okay, I am about sick about hearing of the NFL case. Let’s get this deal done and move on. This is really going to hurt the league the more this nonsense goes on. People are really getting fed up with it and like me losing interest in it.

There comes a tipping point in every situation where it just doesn’t matter anymore and in this case it is at the point of the fans. I am really curious to see the TV numbers and the amount of fans that go to the first couple of games.

I think you will see a huge revolt among fans especially early in the season. I know that I will have a tainted view of the game for awhile, then of course like human nature, we will all forget and everything will be fine again. That’s the American Way, isn’t it?

My condolences go out to Easy Ed McCauley formally of St. Louis University and the  St. Louis Hawks. His  wife passed away at age 83. I didn’t know much about St. Louis Hawks basketball until I had a chance to interview the gentle giant, easy Ed. He is a first class athlete that treated me like a great friend.

We need more of these type of guys and gals in sports. He played when the game was pure and it was about the game not the crazy life and lifestyle that it has become today, and this  is true with all sports.
