Village North Retirement Community will be honoring seniors May 9-13 for Senior Adult Week. St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and executives from Christian Hospital will open the festivities at 10:45 a.m. May 9 at Village North Retirement Community, located just west of Christian Hospital off Dunn Road. There will be a balloon release, educational booths of interest to seniors, free health screenings, and entertainment by the Missouri Cameo Club. Lunch will also be provided. “Big Buck Bingo” from 2-4 p.m. on May 13. Events are free, but space is very limited and reservations are required. Call 314-747-WELL.
Getting Connected will be held from 6:30–8:30 p.m., at the Alzheimer’s Association St. Louis Chapter office, located at 9370 Olive Blvd. The program is a free, monthly opportunity for newcomers to get acquainted with the resources and services available.
