Saturday, May 7

Trivia Night, hosted by the Friends of CHAMP at Hazelwood Community Center located at 1186 Teson Rd. Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia begins at 7.  Cost is $100 per table of 8($12.50 per person) or $120/table at the door. Bring snacks and drinks.  Beer and wine are permitted. Cash prize for top team. Basement/Breakfast/Tailgate Sale is held at Northside Christian Church, 9635 Hwy. 367, on the first Saturday of the month. Pancakes and sausage or two biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee, from 8-10:30 a.m. Breakfast cost is $4. Basement and tailgate sale, from 8 a.m.-noon. Cost is $10 for a double parking spot. Monday, May 9

Village North Retirement Community will be honoring seniors May 9-13 for Senior Adult Week. St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and executives from Christian Hospital will open the festivities at 10:45 a.m. May 9 at Village North Retirement Community, located just west of Christian Hospital off Dunn Road. There will be a balloon release, educational booths of interest to seniors, free health screenings, and entertainment by the Missouri Cameo Club. Lunch will also be provided. “Big Buck Bingo” from 2-4 p.m. on May 13. Events are free, but space is very limited and reservations are required. Call 314-747-WELL.

Getting Connected will be held from 6:30–8:30 p.m., at the Alzheimer’s Association St. Louis Chapter office, located at 9370 Olive Blvd. The program is a free, monthly opportunity for newcomers to get acquainted with the resources and services available. The Pillars of North County will hold an Alumni Party, at 10 a.m., 13700 Old Halls Ferry Rd. (355-0760) At 2 p.m. there will be demonstrations by Therapy Dogs, Handicap-assist Dogs, and police dogs.

Big Buck Bingo from 2 – 4 p.m. at Village North Retirement Community. Cash prizes of $25, $50 and $100.  Light refreshments will be served. These events are free, but space is limited and reservations are required by calling 314-747-WELL.

St. Marks Fashions for Food clothing sale, 315 Graham Road, 8:30-11:00 a.m. All proceeds go to local food pantries. Sale is held on the second Thursday of each month. (837-9404)
