Florissant is sponsoring its Beautiful Home Award Program to recognize homeowners who take pride in the appearance of their home and community.
In order to be eligible for the contest a home must be an owner-occupied single-family dwelling. Residents may nominate either their own home or other homes in the city.
The judging criterion includes, but it not limited to, landscaping, attractive exterior, overall curb appeal, and maintenance of the property.
One winner will be chosen from each of the City’s nine wards. The winners will receive recognition from the city council, including a certificate of appreciation and a Beautiful Home yard sign. Previous winners must wait three years before consideration for another award.
Nominations must be submitted with a current photo and may be mailed or hand delivered to the Community Development Office in the Government Building, 1055 St. Francois or sent via email to, tkammermeyer@florissantmo.com. Be sure to include the following with your nomination: Nominee’s name (if known), address, ward in which the home is located, and a phone number. You must include a photo.
Nominations must be received no later than noon on Friday, May 27.
