Hazelwood Central To Host Class 4 District, Sectional Boys Golf Tourneys

Hazelwood Central High School will play host to the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class Four District Three and Sectional Two Boys Golf Tournaments.
The Class Four, District Three Tournament will be played April 27, 8 a.m. at The Missouri Bluffs in St. Charles County.
Participating teams in Class Four, District Three are Chaminade, DeSmet, Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, McCluer North, McCluer, Parkway Central, Parkway North, Pattonville and Ritenour.
The Class Four, Sectional Two Tournament will be played May 4, 8 a.m. at Old Hickory Golf Course, St. Charles County. The top two teams from District Three and District Four — which includes Fort Zumwalt, Francis Howell and Wentzville Schools and Troy-Buchanan — will participate along with golfers from the non-qualifying teams that finish in the top 15 from those two districts. If a team, which does not finish in the top two in team standings, sends four or five golfers to sectionals then that team can compete for team sectional title but with only the qualifying gofers.
Class Four State will take place May 16-17, 8 a.m. each day at Twin Oaks Country Club, Springfield, Mo. The top two teams from Sectional meets plus golfers that finish individually in the top 12 will play in the state meet. Teams that do not finish in the top two in the sectionals but qualify four or five golfers to state will qualify to compete for the state team points but with only the qualifying golfers.
Also in Class Four CBC, St. Louis University High and Vianney will be competing in District Two, April 27, 8:30 a.m. at Persimmon Woods Golf Course, Weldon Springs. The top two teams and golfers from the other teams that finish in the top 15 in district play will advance to sectionals May 5, 8 a.m. at Westwood Hills Country Club, Poplar Bluff. The top two teams and golfers that finish in the top 12 at Poplar Bluff will compete at Twin Oaks, May 16-17.
CLASS THREE-LUTHERAN NORTH-TRINITY CATHOLIC — Lutheran North will be at Norman Probstein Golf Course, St. Louis-Forest Park, for District Three, April 27 at 8 a.m. while Trinity Catholic will be at Innsbrook Resort Golf Course, Innsbrook, April 28, 10 a.m. for District Four. The top two teams from each of these two districts and golfers from the other teams that finish individually in the top 15 will compete May 4, time to be announced, at Aberdeen Golf Club for Sectional Two. The top two teams in Class Three, Sectional Two, and golfers from other teams that finish individually in the top 12 will advance to state, May 16-17, 8 a.m. each day at Silo Ridge Golf Course.
OTHER GOLF NOTES — Hazelwood Central will host the Hawk Classic, April 25, 8 a.m. at Spencer T. Olin, Alton, Ill.-Gordon Moore Park. Metro Catholic Conference teams — CBC, Chaminade, DeSmet, St. Louis U. High and Vianney — will compete in their league tournament, April 21, 7:30 a.m. at Pevely Farms. Suburban North Conference teams — Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Hazelwood West, McCluer North, McCluer, Pattonville and Ritenour — will compete in their league tournament, May 2, 8 a.m. at Eagle Springs Golf Course-North County Recreation Complex. North County Christian School will compete in the Missouri Christian State Athletic Association Tournament, May 5-6 in Joplin
On April 18 Trinity Catholic competed in the Archdiocesan Athletic Association tournament at Bogey Hills, St. Charles while Lutheran North competed in the ABC League meet at Old Warson.
