Gateway Arch Riverboat Cruises Commemorate Civil War Anniversary

Guests Will Experience the Story of the Mighty Mississippi and Its Role in the Civil War
The Gateway Arch Riverboats will join the St. Louis-wide Civil War sesquicentennial anniversary celebration in 2011 with special riverboat cruises from April 2 through Labor Day weekend. The Civil War Sesquicentennial Anniversary Cruise aboard a replica 19th-century paddle-wheel boats will include spectacular views of the Mississippi River and the St. Louis skyline, as well as narration by a National Park Service ranger with a focus on St. Louis’ role in the Civil War. The cruise is one of many programs provided by National Park Service sites across the country in recognition of the upcoming 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
Cruises will be held on  Saturdays and Sundays in April and May from noon to 1 p.m. and daily from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend from noon to 1 p.m. Boat departs in front of the Arch.
The cost is  $14 for adults, $8 for ages 3-15 (advanced ticket purchase recommended)
Cruises are subject to cancellation due to flooding.
