Registration Begins April 1 for Summer Playground Program
The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring its annual Summer Playground Program, which will be held Monday-Friday, June 13-July 22, from 9 a.m-3 p.m. This program is available to the Florissant residents and non-residents.
Registration will begin April 1 for residents, and June 1 for non-residents. To register, an application form must be completed. Forms will be available during normal building hours at the James J. Eagan Center (Parker Road and Waterford Drive) and the JFK Community Center (315 Howdershell Road) and to download from the Parks Department’s section of the City’s website at www.florissantmo.com.
The camp program is open to children between the ages of 6-12 (child must be six years old by July 31, 2011 to register.) The camp will consist of numerous scheduled activities: arts and crafts, sports, swimming, guest appearances, special lunch days, family night, and more. Camp sites available are the Eagan Center and the JFK Community Center in Koch Park.
A birth certificate is required to be shown when registering children 6, 7, and 12 years of age. The child’s 2010/2011 Florissant resident card must also be presented during registration in order to register.
