Soroptimist of Greater St. Louis is hosting a fundraising “Feeling Lucky!” Bunco Tournament on Saturday, March 19 at Garden Villas North. Play will begin at 10:45 a.m.
Event organizers are seeking sponsors for the tournament. The following sponsorships are available: $1,000 Headliner Bunco, $500 Feeling Lucky, $250 Snake Eyes, and $75 Table sponsors for 36 tables.
Soroptimist International is an organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities. Through its major program, the Womens’ Opportunity Award, Soroptimist provides cash grants for women seeking to improve their lives with the help of additional education and training.
In St. Louis, the group hosts two annual fundraisers-a fashion show in November and a golf tournament in May. This year the group added the Bunco Tournament because the need is great.
Tickets to play are $25 or $100 for a table of four. Beverages and snacks will be provided. Beer and wine will be available. For tickets, call Judy at 636-265-0782.

“Galaxy Gala” at the Saint Louis Science Center’s James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park at the 47th annual Christian Hospital Auxiliary Charity Ball. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, elegant dinner, dancing and lots of fun. Proceeds will be used to benefit patient care. Tickets are $175 per person.
Tickets for the Auxiliary’s $10,000 Charity Ball cash drawing and chances to win a nook color e-reader with accessories (retail value $350) are now being sold. Each ticket for the $10,000 drawing is $100 and there will only be 250 tickets sold; each ticket to win the nook color e-reader with accessories is $10. This is a great way to support the Auxiliary and their fund-raising mission to improve patient care and services in North County.
